Judging Criteria

Mental Health Champion of the Year
  1. Judges will consider:

    • Action & leadership: What has this individual actively done to support mental health?

    • Impact on others: How have colleagues, teams or communities benefited?

    • Advocacy & culture: How has this person challenged stigma or influenced culture?

    • Authenticity: Evidence of genuine care, commitment or lived experience.

Wellbeing Innovation Award
  1. Judges will consider:

    • The idea: What is the innovation and why is it different?

    • Mental health impact: How has it improved wellbeing or reduced risk?

    • Practical application: How has it been implemented in real settings?

    • Evidence: Feedback, outcomes or examples showing it works.

Learning & Development Excellence Award
  1. Judges will consider:

    • Quality of training: What was delivered and to whom?

    • Relevance: How well does it meet real mental health needs?

    • Reach & engagement: Who took part and how widely was it adopted?

    • Impact: How has learning translated into confidence, skills or behaviour change?

Diversity & Inclusion for Wellbeing Award

Judges will consider:

  • Inclusive action: What specific actions reduced barriers or supported inclusion?

  • Mental health outcomes: How did these actions improve wellbeing or psychological safety?

  • Lived experience: Evidence of listening to and supporting underrepresented voices.

  • Culture change: How inclusion has shaped everyday workplace experiences.

Hospitality Wellbeing Workplace of the Year
  1. Judges will consider:

    • Workplace culture: How wellbeing shows up day to day.

    • Support in practice: What support is available and how it’s used.

    • Employee voice: Evidence of engagement, feedback or testimonials.

    • Consistency: How wellbeing is embedded, not just reactive.

Supply Chain Wellbeing Workplace of the Year
  1. Judges will consider:

    • People-first culture: How employees are supported across the business.

    • Mental health initiatives: Practical steps taken to improve wellbeing.

    • Leadership commitment: How wellbeing is prioritised and modelled.

    • Impact: Evidence of positive outcomes for staff.

Best Mental Health Campaign / Event

Judges will consider:

  • Creativity & clarity: How engaging and accessible the campaign or event was.

  • Reach & engagement: Who it reached and how people responded.

  • Mental health focus: How clearly it addressed mental health or stigma.

  • Impact: Evidence of awareness raised, behaviour change or action taken.

Rising Star / Student Advocate Award (18–24)

Judges will consider:

  • Leadership & initiative: What the individual has led or influenced.

  • Advocacy: How they have supported peers or promoted mental health.

  • Impact: Evidence of change, engagement or inspiration.

  • Potential: Signs of future leadership and continued commitment.

Outstanding Supporter / Industry Advocate Award

Judges will consider:

  • Contribution: How the nominee has supported mental health in hospitality.

  • Collaboration: How they have worked with others to amplify impact.

  • Reach & influence: Who benefited from their support or advocacy.

  • Alignment: How their actions align with the values of the hospitality sector.
